Seventy percent say Trump is to blame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four of the top priorities for Hispanic voters continue to be \u201cpocketbook issues,\u201d with cost of living and inflation topping the list of concerns, the survey found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most Latino voters say Trump and Republicans in Congress are not putting enough focus on lowering everyday costs. Forty-nine percent blame Trump for the rising cost of living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sixty-six percent believe Trump\u2019s tariff agenda will reduce economic opportunity and 64 percent say it was a bad decision for U.S. trade, the survey found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLatino voters are frustrated that their economic priorities are being ignored and that a key promise made by President Trump during the election is not being kept,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/janet-murguia\/\">Janet Murgu\u00eda,<\/a> UnidosUS president and CEO, said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEconomic discontent was the most potent driver in the 2024 election, helping President Trump increase support among Latinos,\u201d Murgu\u00eda said. \u201cBut over half of Hispanic voters feel the economy is worse now than a year ago and nearly as many believe it will be worse a year from now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two-thirds of respondents in the poll say the rule of law is failing and the constitution is being violated under the Trump administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many oppose the actions of Elon Musk\u2019s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). More than 60 percent have an unfavorable view of Musk and 52 percent have an unfavorable view of DOGE, which has dismantled federal agencies and laid off thousands of workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey was conducted from April 11-19 among 1,002 people and has a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
